Show me, dear Jesus, what You want me to do.

God of love and justice, we long for peace within and peace without.  We long for harmony in our families, for serenity in the midst of struggle and for commitment to each other's growth.  We long for the day when our homes will be a dwelling place for your love. 
  Yet we confess that we are often anxious; we do not trust each other and we harbor violence.  We are not willing to take risks and make the sacrifices that love requires. 
  Look upon us with kindness and grace.  Rule in our homes and in the world; show us how to walk in your path through the mercy of our Savior. AMEN

  We come seeking You in  worship.  We come to You for truth because we are obtuse.  We come to You for strength because we are weak.  We come to You for wisdom because we are foolish.  Move in our midst; show us Your truth, strength and wisdom, through our Savior, Jesus Christ.  Amen

Lord,
  You have graced me with a wonderful morning.  The birds were chirping and the fog was lifting so the glory of your universe was revealed to me.  Thank You for this wolrd You have created and now share with me.  Thank You for blessing me with life and showering me with love.  Use me today to pass on Your love to all I encounter.  Amen

   God of all life we thank You for the signs of Your love that surrounds us, for the sun and warmth and all that comes to life within creation and for all that sleeps within the earth awaiting birth.
  We praise You for the wisdom of Your care, water on the earth, sunlight on our spirits, hands on blinded eyes.
   Continue to touch us, reach out to us with compassion and forgiveness that we may receive Your gifts, that we may know Your love and grace and rise to new life in Jesus Christ.  AMEN

Lord God Almighty,
   I know You are busy running the world You created.  But I am Your child and I am asking You to hear my prayer.  Two dear little girls, Shayla and Ayiana, have been left behind.  They now have a loving and caring home with food and warmth on these cold days but the ache of being abandoned is breaking their hearts.  This is something only You can heal.  So I sincerely implore You to heal these broken hearts, mend the tear and allow them to joyously embrace the family who took them and and is offering them earthly love.  They are being showered with love and care.  Help these dear girls open their hearts to receive the love being bestowed upon them.  I know this is Your plan for a better life for them.  Open their eyes so they can willingly accept these gifts.  AMEN

O God,
   You withdraw from our sight so that You may be known by our love.
  Help us to enter the cloud where You are hidden and surrender all our uncertainty.
    Let us renew our faith in Jesus Christ.

God,
    Thank You for this bright, shiny day.  It is open to me to fill with sharing Your love and joy with all I encounter today.  Let me be a reflection of Your love.  I know You love me.  You sacrificed Your Son to take away all  my sins and make me Your child.  This is true love.  Now I must share this love with the clerk in the store who is frazzled and snappy.  I must share this love with the bus driver who is jaded from dealing with nasty people for years.  I must share this love with the mail carrier who feels invisible and unappreciated.  And I must share this love with my house mates who can be irritating and selfish to the nth degree.  You put me in the lives of these people to cross their path and make them a little happier today by sharing Your love.  Help me live up to this awesome responsibility. Your servant in Christ.  Amen.

My Lord Jesus Christ, You have made this journey to die for me with love unutterable and I have so many times unworthily abandoned You.  Now I love You with my whole heart and because I love You I repent sincerely for having ever offended You.  Pardon me, my God, and permit me to accompany You on this journey of service to others.  AMEN

Lord,
   Bitterness and resentment try to edge into my life.  I must learn to forgive other from deep within my inner being.  I need Your help to completely forgive all slights and hurts.
    It is hard to forgive, Lord.  So I am begging You to give me a forgiving heart and a forgiving spirit.  Alone I can't do it but with You all things are possible. 
   Lord, I am ready to forgive.  I am ready to offer love to others and hold no grudge.  I am ready to love, Lord.

Dear Heavenly Father,
   I want to take this time this morning to thank You for all the wonderful things You share with me.  On my morning walk I heard birds announcing the break of day.  Their joyous notes thrilled my heart.  The calm breezes were refreshing and the brisk morning air was rejuvenating.  All these gifts you offer every day but seldom do I take the time to acknowledge these gifts, let alone thank You for them.  Lord, You have given me so much.  You have even shared Your son with the world to take away my sins.  So, let me kneel down in adoration and humble gratitude for all You share with me.  I love You and thank You for loving me.   Amen

Jesus, You became an example of humility, obedience and patience.  You proceded me on the way of life bearing Your cross.  Grant that, inflamed with Your love, I may cheerfully take upon myself the sweet yoke of Your gospel together with the mortification of the cross and follow You as a true disciple so that I may be united with You in heaven.  Amen

May our prayers and the holy prayers of Saint Theresa, Your Virgin, beseech You, O Lord, and render our sacrifice pleasing to You.  And that by her merits it may become acceptable to You, in whose honor it is solemnly offered.  Amen
